bits and pieces

I sent the Ender, along with his body and hooves, back to SOOM. I haven't heard anything, so I presume he's still in transit. He cost a BOMB to ship. They say they're going to repay me for the shipment, so I hope it will make a nice surprise in my paypal account towards something exciting...

Emmeline is still on layby, her next payment is coming up. I need to find some white boots for her, hopefully I'll find some that don't have massively oversized laces. (which was my main problem with the original shoes). I am thinking of so many ways to take photos with Emmeline, Violet and Angelu - three Alices will just be too cute! I'm just hoping Emmeline is not going to be as... evil... as Violet.

One can dream.

Other interesting things happening the worlds of dollies - the Pukifee Horde has joined a swop and I've been mediating with a large flow of spending and ideas from six PKF. And of course filtering out all the more inappropriate ideas (Isis!). But we have had a steady flow of items and now have just the toys and other little items to get that I am able to buy from the shops available to me in Australia.

Hopefully I haven't forgotten anything that will take ages to arrive... as I write this I can think of something I meant to do. Whoops. If I order today or tomorrow hopefully they'll arrive sooner rather than later... bugger.

Oh well.

Otherwise, no big entrances, no massive ideas... No news from SOOM :(

Further problems

So, SOOM sent me an Ender instead of a Shoshon... should be ok, should just mean a head swop. No. I realised today when I brought my wrong-headed Pallus in to show him off that it can't be that simple.

The Ender has a different colour skin to the Shoshon. The hooves don't match the body!

*sigh* SOOM have only asked for photos of my "problem" at the moment, with a slight disbelieving air to them. So I modified my last communication and am hoping that there is a good solution instead of paying through the nose to send him back to SOOM and then waiting for months for my replacement, correct, Shoshon.

In other dolly news, I have found Emmeline!

I had previously considered completing my Pipos Alice collection by finding a fullset Alice Jr, the original release. I had found one, but while I was deciding whether or not to buy her, she was sold. She had named herself and everything. The only other Alice Jr I saw was not a fullset, and I wanted to have her outfit.

I finally found another Alice Jr, this with everything from the fullset except her boots, which is ok, I didn't like those boots anyway. So she is on layaway for the next 6 or so weeks and her name is Emmeline.

*sigh* Not happy...

I just had the joy of opening my darling Pallus, who has been on order since December last year - who was on 6 month layaway and then had another month or so of wait after him for him to ship.

And now, after admiring him for a little while, I posted him up on the waiting thread and saw again the faces of the other Shoshons. And I realised something... my Shoshon did not look like other Shoshons. He had a different faceup.

I considered him, then went back to the SOOM page to see if I was seeing things... but no, his head was instensely different from there too. I had an eerie feeling and clicked on the other Mega Gem on the list, the Ender.

SOOM Shoshon

Pallus
I am shattered. There is simply no way, looking at them, comparing them, that SOOM has sent me the correct head, they have, as I have figured out (and finally looked inside the head cap where it confirms it) sent me an Ender head with a Shoshon's body and items.

SOOM Ender

What do I do?? Do I ask SOOM for the correct head and resign myself to waiting more months for the correct head to arrive? Or do I take my Ender head on my Mega Gem body with Shoshon hooves? Or did SOOM send someone a Shoshon head with an Ender body??

I don't know. I love the faceup, while the lips are larger than I considered, he does look nice.

slow

I think it's fairly obvious that my dollie collecting has slowed down. Nothing interesting has happened - Pallus is still before shipping even though he's been paid off, Mithras (the Fabilis) is on layaway and Nemain's new wig has yet to be shipped.

I have not been particularly taken by anything SOOM is doing at the moment (what a shame) and other than the Fabilis, none of Fairyland's current Fairy's Atelier really drag my attention either.

I am participating in a PKF swop again, which will be fun, all six of them are looking forward to it, although I hope they are careful who they pair Isis with, she's had a few ideas as what to give people, all of which I've vetoed.

So, life is quiet... and busy in terms of work...

The Slow-down: 2016-2019

Wow. I used to collect a lot, and now, I don't do a lot of collecting at all. My collection has slowed to a crawl - some of it is prob...
