So what has been going on in my doll world recently... well, not much.
A few things have been finalised - I have buyers for both Li Na and Argus, and they will be heading off to their new homes soon, which is great. I much prefer that someone has them who loves them, rather than staying with me and being an afterthought. So that I am glad about.
There are a few things coming in - namely two bodies... one of which I am getting in exchange for Argus, along with two heads that I will need to decide whether or not I want to keep - I could very well, but then I'm not sure, its not a head I've ever considered before. We'll have to see when it arrives how I feel.
The other body is a chance find on the MP that I snapped up quickly before anyone else could!
Pax is back with her eyes opened and I've ordered her eyes (and those for Nox) but I'm a bit disgusted and annoyed at the apparent 4-week wait time attached to them. I have decided who I want to do Pax (and Nox)'s faceups - AngelToast, the same delightful artist who did Fea's fantastic look. So now I just have to decide their looks, which seems to be leaning towards a cross between punk and hippie. Which isn't something I ever thought could mesh. Anyway, I probably have to wait until I have her eyes anyway, so Pax could be sitting around for those four weeks while I wait for her eyes... *sigh*
I also might have a head for Nox, which is fantastic. That is still up in the air at the moment, but I'm hoping.
Today I was surfing DDE for no particular reason (other than to check on their in-stock status of Chiclines), when I noticed that they had a F70 Riff in stock... I have to of course, find a body for Arawn....
And I could put that body on layaway and give Arawn a new body rather than trawling the Marketplace or wait for Fairyland to start selling F70s again... then I noticed that they had two of the Dollheart Pirate outfits for 70cm males and I started getting ideas.
Arawn originally wanted a default Riff 70s-rocker style suit (which he still wants, don't get me wrong) but now it seems he also wants a Dollheart Pirate outfit. I'm not quite sure why and I don't think I want more than one Pirate-Breakaway... considering the personality and attitude of the other Breakaway who happens to be a pirate...
So that rambling is what is happening at the moment...

Good news on selling Li Na and Argus! Seems like they've been replaced pretty quickly :D
ReplyDeleteWhich heads are coming in?? I always worry about getting random heads, they seem to get personalities pretty quickly... and then start demanding bodies - one of the reasons I've not been seriously looking for a pukipuki to give Dexter a body.
Loving the idea of another pirate... but then you know how much I love Vulcan :D
Yes well... not really replaced as such I suppose Its one of those things that was going to happen regardless.
ReplyDeleteIt's a head attached to a body that I need, but I would never have bought the head on my own. I'm keeping it a secret since I think that everyone will have a giggle when they'll see what it is!
